    Description

For your consideration is a vintage W.M Frank trumpet that has been disassembled due to damaged pistons. Would be best suited as a horn for project rebuild, parts lot, or as a displayable part of American brass history. This instrument has little to go on for information such as model # mostly due to the company only being around from 1909 till 1956 when they dissolved and their equipment was sold to Schilke.
Per brasshistory.net, the W.M Frank company started in 1909 and was perhaps started as a part time venture by William Frank while working for Holton brand. As time progressed, he set out on his own and opened up shop in Chicago, IL beginning to make professional grade trumpets that they believed could compare to any other trumpet on the market regardless of price. Serial # would suggest that it was produced in the range of 1930 - 1935 based on other instruments produced in the range with close serial numbers. This information also provided by brasshistory.net
This instrument could once again be a great in the care of the right person. However if not restored, could help restore another horn with functioning parts present. Included in this bundle is the original body, slides, water keys, finger buttons, valve caps, springs, and vintage lyre. Would for sure need a new finger hook, new pistons, dent removal in several locations, and a general overhaul. No case or paperwork included.
    Thanks for your consideration!
