PADEN CITY "CROW'S FOOT" # 890 CRYSTAL 3-PART DIVIDED STERLING SILVER COVERED CANDY DISH
, made in the 1930's. This is a vintage depression glass piece at its best, of gorgeously 3-part shaped glass with a stunningly pierced scrolled center handle cover made in crystal by the Paden City Glass Co. The cover design is done in sterling silver (written three times inside the design), and resembles a harvest of pears, grapes, cherries, and cornucopias completely in tact with only minor tarnishing at its edges. The inside cover fits perfectly inside the 3-part bottom without a single chip, amazing for its age. The glass is 6 3/8" at its narrowest, to 6 7/8" at its widest, depending upon how you hold the ruler. Although it was purchased from an estate sale on Long Island and was pre-owned, it is in absolutely fantastic condition for an object that is between 70 to 80 years old. Apparently, it sat on a shelf inside a closed dining room cabinet for many years, as there are not even any scratches on its ground bottom, where scratches would normally expected to be found. I have been collecting unusual vintage objects for many years, and always try to describe the items as best as I can. The glass is absolutely perfect, with no chips, cracks, fleabites, scratches, stains, cloudiness, or repairs. The bottom glass resembles a 3-part cloverleaf with a pierced handle is really gorgeous with its scrolls too. It comes from a smoke-free home. I only accept PayPal, and never charge extra for packaging and handling. Shipping and Insurance costs .85 via USPS Priority Mail.
