Up for auction are these two civil war collectables that I recently acquired from the estate of a civil war collector. They are single pages of HARPER'S WEEKLY as pictured. I do not know if the collector had these pages and sent them to a matte and frame company and had them matted and framed or whether this was something that a company put out. By looking at them I can see the print embossed from the other side of the page so I believe the pages are authentic from 1862 and are not simply copies of the original pages.
They measure 24" X 19-1/2" to the outside of the frame. Obviously, it cost money to acquire the pages and then have them matted, framed and put under glass.  These were never unwrapped and hung, they are in the original packaging  as they came from the framer. It would be expensive to get these two pages framed and matted, I suspect you would pay about 0 to get them framed and matted, if not more. Get a nice item for the civil war collector and save a ton of money. You'll get both of them  as pictured.
