Condition: There is a crack in the upper beak as seen in the pictures and the neck has an old repair as it appears the head was broken off and glued back on at some point. The paint is a mystery since there is no evidence of older paint but it may or may not be original to the decoy. If there was previous paint on the decoy I cannot find evidence of it. For sale is a Gus Wilson Red Breasted Merganser Hen. This decoy measures 16" x 8" x8" and has an inlet head that was nailed on with square nails. There appears to be an old repair to the neck that has been repaired with glue and a crack in the upper beak. I have not found evidence of previous paint but I do not know the history of the paint job. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. Decoy will be professionally packed and shipped by UPS.
