.  According to the author's Preface:
"The nobility and gentry of the three Kingdoms are however by no means confined to these classes, but include many other families of equal position, descent and alliance, for a gentleman derives his nobility from his ancestors and not from the mere possession of lands or titles."
The families are presented in alphabetical order (by last name).  Where available, heraldry is also presented.  This book is fully indexed.
