TRUMPET
GRENADILLA TRUMPET CUPS.
In 1994
our firm was asked to produce on our CNC machining center various sizes of trumpet Grenadilla wood mouthpiece cups for legendary trumpet mouthpiece maker Louis Diorio.
Mr. Diorio had an extensive line of different size cups that were ideally suited to fit his custom made
back bores.
We only manufactured
the Grenadilla wood cups (not the back-bores) for him:
a)
Standard Tottle
b)
Sum-line
c)
Ex-Caliber
d)
Screw film cup
e)
Super Ex –Calibur.
Mr. Diorio also manufactured a full
line of interchangeable mouthpiece components known as back bores or rods that actually screwed into the Grenadilla cups.
We never produced any of those “interchangeable rods” or back bores.
So for those of
you who own the original Diorio back-bores
these cups will screw on to the back bores very nicely.
Recently in our safe we found a few sets of Grenadilla wood finished pieces. : they are being offered as  a full set of seven pieces for one price
We don’t have any specific sizes of the cups so they are being sold as is .
However, the Grenadilla cups can be modified by a professional trumpet mouthpiece craftsman...
