Handmade, very graceful drake canvasback. One of the nicest profiles I've ever seen on a canvasback decoy. Length 17" tip of tail to tip of bill; width 7"; body height 3 1/2". This decoy was made by Joe Eisch from Neenah, WI approximately 1940. I bought his entire personal hunting rig many, many years ago - about 30 years ago - right from him. This bird is in original paint and may have some in use touch up paint which was done by Joe Eisch, the maker, himself. It's in great shape, showing a few shot scars. Structurally very sound. It's a dandy canvasback decoy. I bought his entire rig from him and have one left for myself. Just a great hunting can with a wide bottom, used for hunting rough water on Lake Winnebago and the Lake Poygan area. Joe also made fish decoys, duck decoys for sale, fly rods and fishing lures. He's a very distinguished Wisconsin carver. I'll pay shipping in the lower 48 states only. No returns.
